St. Leonard Dress Code

School year 19-20

All students are expected to dress in a neat, clean and presentable way befitting the image of a Catholic elementary school. Students’ last names are to be labeled on as many clothing items as possible (sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets, etc.). When the weather is 40 degrees or less, children must have appropriate outerwear, in addition to sweatshirts/sweaters – if the temperature is above freezing and the ground is dry, students will go outside. Any modifications to the dress code will be approved by the principal.
Uniform Violations: For students in grades K through 3, consequences are at the discretion of the instructor.
Uniform Infractions Grades 4-8: Teachers will check students for uniform infractions during homeroom period. When a student has a uniform infraction, the teacher gives him/her a uniform infraction slip to be signed by the parent and returned. If the infraction slip is not returned, the teacher will email the parent. Three uniform infractions will result in a detention.
