The Sewing Ministry for St Frances of Rome and St Leonard is in full swing right now. We’ve been meeting for a few weeks now, and are beginning to generate quite a few items for the new mothers at Lifehouse Maternity Home and Little Way Pregnancy Center. Sew far 😉 we have been able to produce 54 burp cloths, 40 bibs, and 18 cloth bags. The sewing ministry has 12 seamstresses/seamsters and 1 delivery/pickup volunteer, consisting of parishioners from both parishes as well as a few staff members. We would love to have more join us. The Sewing Ministry welcomes people of all skill levels. We have people who have sewn all their lives as well as those who just picked up their first needles and threads, so don’t be shy about giving this a try. There are jobs for anyone who wants to help. If interested, call the parish office at St Leonard (502) 897-2595 for more information.
