Ashley Logsdon joined the community of St. Leonard in August 2020 as the Pastoral Associate. Her role focuses on the daily pastoral care of the faithful, with an emphasis on liturgy, pastoral care of the sick, providing leadership and logistical support for parish initiatives, managing registration paperwork and sacramental records, and generally helping the St. Leonard community to fulfill our Christ-centered mission of service, prayer, worship, and welcome.
Ashley is from Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in Biological Science and a second major in Theology. As a member of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows program, Ashley completed her M.Ed. while teaching biology and theology at Tampa Catholic High School. In 2016, Ashley earned her Master of Theological Studies degree from Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry, and in 2017 she was blessed to spend a year discerning religious life with the Cistercian nuns of Mount Saint Mary’s Abbey in Wrentham, Massachusetts. Prior to her move to Louisville, Ashley served both as a full-time teacher at Bishop Hartley High School and part-time as the Liturgical Ministry Coordinator at Christ the King Church, both in Columbus, Ohio.
When not at church, Ashley can usually be found outdoors on a run or hike, curled up with a book, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or admiring her cat, Laurelin. She is humbled by the gracious welcome she has received at St. Leonard and looks forward to continuing her service to the Church through this wonderful community.Ashley Logsdon
